Hello and Welcome!

As a Wedding Celebrant and Officiant, it is my goal to create a personalized wedding ceremony that reflects who you are as individuals and as a couple, celebrating your unique story.

It is an honor to be entrusted with a couple’s wedding ceremony. Your story is important, and the feeling you want to convey in your ceremony is equally important. This, above all, is your ceremony and a wonderful opportunity for the two of you to have fun envisioning what you want it to be like, look like, and feel like.

I am a non-denominational/interfaith minister, authorized to legally solemnize marriages. I serve all areas of Connecticut, southern Massachusetts and western Rhode Island . I honor all faith and cultural traditions and will thoughtfully craft a warm and memorable ceremony that celebrates your beliefs and values: religious, spiritual, or secular. I am open and affirming, welcoming the LGBTQ community.

Being a Lifecycle Celebrant™ means that I am professionally trained and educated in the creation of ceremony and ritual through the Celebrant Foundation and Institute. For couples who do not identify with organized religion or for interfaith and/or intercultural couples, finding an officiant who can meet your needs is often a challenge and often means opting for an impersonal ceremony. As a Lifecycle Celebrant™, I am directed in the creation of each ceremony by the needs and desires, values and vision of the particular couple with whom I work.

Whether your ceremony will be small or large, informal or formal, traditional or non-traditional, I will listen to who you are and what is important to you. You might choose to write your own wedding vows. Perhaps you would like to include family members or friends in your ceremony. You might like to have children or stepchildren participate. Maybe all you know at this point in your wedding planning is that you want a warm and joyful ceremony but have no idea what options are available to you. That’s okay! As I get to know you, we will shape your ceremony around what appeals to you, so that both the structure and content are an expression of who you are.

Every wedding ceremony is as special as the couples with whom I work. A great deal of time is spent creating a custom-designed ceremony. No doubt when you are deciding about other aspects of your wedding day from the invitations to the wedding attire, your choices reflect your personalities. Your ceremony should do the same.

Your wedding ceremony is really the heart of your wedding day. It is the time when you cross an important threshold from your single life to your married life. When I look at photographs of the couples I’ve married, I am transported back to their wedding day in a heartbeat and can recall their excited (and often nervous) smiles and the details of their ceremony, the poignant moments of two individuals on the cusp of seeing their lives as we instead of I.
